Centre Wellington, Ontario Moving Companies
The Centre Wellington Moving Company That Simply Cannot Be Beat for Local Area Coverage
Serving as a primary township of Wellington County, the collective known as Centre Wellington serves as home to a large number of communities that comprise the history and makeup of Wellington County. While the communities of Fergus and Elora serve as what are essentially the primary population centres of the township, Centre Wellington serves as a collective home to a considerably large number of communities beyond this pair as well. Interestingly, this even includes the former town of Ponsonby, now widely regarded as an authentic “ghost town” of Wellington County, after being abandoned in the later 19th century and remaining intact as something of a tourist attraction. More significantly, the township of Centre Wellington serves communities that include Salem, Belwood, Dracon, Inverhaugh, Pentland Corners, Simpson Corners, and many more.
Unique features of the communities across Centre Wellington include geographical anomalies, intact limestone construction dating back to the 1800s, and more. Many of these features are due largely in part to the area’s enriched local history that generally extends back into the early years of settlement and cultural development across the region. Much of these settlements underwent amalgamations, renaming, rezoning, and the like over time, giving rise to the decision to eventually combine the greater Wellington area into what has become the centralized Centre Wellington. Although the modern township takes advantage of this aggregate nature, it’s important to note that the individual communities that comprise Centre Wellington still retain the unique cultures that contributed to their development, along with a great deal of their local history.
