North American Van Lines: A Laval, Quebec Moving Company Committed to Providing Service of the Highest Caliber to Take Care of Your Moving Needs
Looking to get a fresh start in southwestern Quebec? The moving experts at North American Van Lines are ready and willing to do their part to ensure your possessions get to your new home safely and in a timely manner.
Bordered on the north and south sides by the Rivière des Mille Îles and Rivière des Prairies respectively, Laval has been referred to in the past as a “bedroom community” for residents who go on to commute outside of the city for work. However, in recent years Laval has made significant progress with developing its own local industries and attractions for those who are looking to get more out of their island city.
As Montreal’s largest suburb, Laval benefits greatly from having two commuter train lines running through the city, along with buses and access to Montreal Metro. The city’s industrial and manufacturing operations primarily take place in any of the four different industrial parks, with most of the manufacturing companies located in the Industrial Park Centre. On the southern side of Laval, you’ll find the Laval Science and High Technology Park, which is home to forward-thinking universities and innovative companies alike in what is called the “Biotech City.”
Outside of work, the city of Laval also offers many different opportunities for citizens and visitors to have some fun. Catch a theatrical performance or dance exhibition at the Maison des arts, or set your evening out to a live soundtrack provided by the Laval Symphony Orchestra. If it’s a bit of an adventure you’re looking for, soar to new heights at SkyVenture Montreal, which is home to an indoor skydiving wind tunnel and different meeting spaces for your next group outing. The sky isn’t the limit, however, as you’ll learn when visiting Canada’s best space and astronautics museum, the Cosmodome. The Cosmodome houses one of two lunar rocks on display in the country and offers Canadian youth the opportunity to attend Space Camp Canada and learn more about the things astronauts experience while on missions in the vastness of outer space.
When it comes to education in Laval, there are a number of universities, colleges, and vocational centres across the city. While French is the primary language in Laval, there is a separate school board for English-speaking students as well, with two English-language high schools to accommodate students who may not be as fluent in the French language.
With such an excellent variety of opportunities for work and play in Laval, plus the close proximity to Montreal, it could be the next place for you and your family to call home. If that’s the case, the moving professionals at North American Van Lines will be more than happy to bear the brunt of the work so that you and your family’s transition is as stress-free as it can be. We can be reached online or via phone to answer any questions and help you get started on your journey to this island city.
